While Matador HQ is a growing company, this lens platform itself is far from new. The foundation behind the INOX lens has already spent years in the welding industry building a reputation for reliability, performance, and clarity through — one of the most respected manufacturers in welding lens technology - Tefuawe.
Rather than reinventing a lens that already worked, we focused on improving the welding experience.
Through direct feedback from pipe welders, fabricators, students, and field professionals, we worked alongside Tefuawe to refine visibility, usability, and optical performance. The result became what we now call 8K CrystalShield Technology — an upgraded visual experience designed to enhance puddle clarity, definition, and overall weld visibility while maintaining the proven reliability welders already trusted.
What started as feedback from welders became something bigger.
Tefuawe believed in the direction strongly enough that they chose to move forward with the upgraded concept alongside us — giving life to the INOX collaboration.
Built Around Real Welding
The INOX lens was not designed in a boardroom disconnected from the trade. It was shaped by real conversations with welders who spend long hours under the hood and understand how important visibility truly is.
Better visibility means:
- Better puddle control
- Better weld consistency
- Less eye fatigue
- More confidence under the hood
More Than Just a Rebrand
This collaboration represents something important to us.
A respected manufacturer trusted a young American welding company enough to listen to its welders, apply real improvements, and help bring those ideas to market.
That trust is built into every INOX lens.

Lens was super clear and fits inside the pocket hoods would recommend 10/10
Lens was super good and clear would recommend especially for tig welding
Matador hq lense is crystal clear. Tried on before purchasing and was impressed. Highly recommend!
You can see every detail in and around the puddle. I literally mean every ripple as it’s solidifying. It comes in a nice stainless steel frame. I think this is the most premium true color lens I’ve had especially because the charger can be any type C, I don’t have to worry about a specific charger. I was told it takes 15-20 minutes to charge and lasts 250 hrs of weld time.
Came in to test the lens came out walking with the lens.
My one stop shop for all welding in the RGV.
This is the best place in the valley for all your welding need highly recommended
I had a great experience buying my new lens INOX 8K from Matadaor HQ. Thanks
